The Hubbard County Regional Economic Development Commission (HCREDC) coordinates and facilitates the development of a strong and competitive economy in the county. As a public private partnership (a 501(c)6 non-profit organization), the HCREDC focuses on addressing the needs and opportunities of existing businesses and providing assistance to new and expanding businesses, while embracing the exceptional Quality of Life the area offers.
The HCREDC is the center point of contact for new and existing businesses. The HCREDC partners with numerous organizations and assists in the coordination and delivery of entrepreneurial development services and programs to assist new businesses and existing entrepreneurs. This includes training opportunities and business development services of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Northwest Minnesota Foundation (NMF), Headwaters Regional Development Commission (HRDC) and M State's Business & Entrepreneurial Services.
Additional priorities include the retention and expansion of existing employers: maintaining an inventory of available sites, buildings and demographic information: efforts to further enhances our area’s technology infrastructure: addressing economic development issues and opportunities with local, state and federal representatives and entities: supporting the downtown Park Rapids redevelopment, growth and expansion efforts: housing development: and the recruitment of new business and jobs to the Hubbard County area.
